So I promised I would post what my plans are for 2014.
If you didn’t know I had a huge hernia repair surgery that went a little sideways and I was in the ICU for 5 days. So I am recovering from that and getting my energy levels back and working out again.
One funny side note, the two weeks after my surgery I ate 5,000 calories a day on purpose (trying to give my body the energy it would need to heal up). After the two weeks, I weighed. I was only up three pounds! Ha! Guess my body did need those calories.
So anyway, I won’t be able to really push myself for a few months. I have started some light working out. I am pushing as hard as I can, but I still can’t jump well (it hurts). HOWEVER. I should be 100% by January of next year.
I also heard a rumor that there is a P90X3 coming out.
I’ve done P90X a few years ago and liked it, but have never gone back. I wouldn’t mind going back. I think it was a good work out and I liked Tony Horton. So I have been remiss in not revisiting my old friend.
So….for 2014, I am going to do P90X, then P90X2, then P90X3 all in a row. Which should take me about 9 months, and I should be a god-like machine at the end of it 🙂 of course I plan on getting some injuries, which may slow me down, (you will ALWAYS have to deal with injury if you’re pushing yourself) but I will push through.
I will be doing a P90X-Insanity hybrid program for the first part, and I do plan on adding P90X+ to it. This is going to cost me some money, but dammit, what else should you spend your money on except your health?
To be honest, I am really looking forward to this. I am working on getting my body ready for P90X, which means being able to do chin ups (which I can’t do yet due to hernia repair which was in my abdomen) and lots of pushups. Those two things are a big part of what P90X is all about.
I will be following my own nutrition plan while doing this too. I know what to eat for me and I know how to eat as well.
In the words of Tony Horton, “BRING IT!”
