Lesson 4

Everything in moderation–including moderation.

This is not an “all or nothing” situation.

Look, when you’re on most diets and work out plans, you’re boxed into this little area of shit you can eat and how you have to bend at the waist. If you have a cheeseburger at lunch, you’re like “Well, fuck it. I already ruined my diet. I might as well have chicken fried steak for dinner and ice cream for dessert!”

Well, yeah. I mean. Go for it. Eat that shit up.

No, I’m not kidding and I am not being sarcastic. Remember when I said, “Sustainability” in Lesson 1? This is partly where it comes into play.

But—-BUT—- can you have that cheeseburger for lunch and skip dinner? You sure can. No one is stopping you. It’s up to you. Can you say to yourself, “I am going to have the double with bacon, mayo, extra cheese and jalapenos for lunch, and then skip dinner.” You can? FUCK YES! Do it. I am not kidding.  This isn’t the best way to lose weight,  but do it. You must do what you can do to keep yourself from going insane.

This is also where you need to plan your week out. Look for spots where you know you may have to eat out with coworkers, or go to your mother’s house for dinner. Then figure out how you can work out around that or eat better around that. I am not a proponent of going to an all-you-can-eat buffet and getting a small salad.  You need to LIVE your life. And sometimes that includes pigging out.
